Les Lauriers des Rothschild is comprised of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc. This wine is really bursting with fruit but also the oak is present in a subtle way. Not an overpowering oak aroma, almost like salt on food just making the fruit the star. This is a light bodied, medium acid taste with more red fruit on the palate, with some notes of cedar. The super smooth tannins create a reasonably long finish that sits on the top of the tongue.
